Forest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC. Is conveniently located in a quiet residential area of Jonesboro just minutes away from hospital services, doctors’ offices and the offices of other health professionals. The warm and friendly atmosphere experienced here reflects the long tradition of quality care that was begun long ago by Mrs. Myra Carter … a tradition based upon our belief that what counts most in a nursing facility is resident care.
At Forest Haven we know that quality resident care is no accident. It is the result of a team of professionals working together and committed to providing the very best in quality care with a goal of constant improvement. Our facility is one of Louisiana’s most innovative leaders in quality long term care and often exceeds the expectations one might have of a nursing facility. Forest Haven is continually working to upgrade and improve its services. We are the first facility in our area to have an in-house nurse practitioner and we lead our profession in the use of electronic medical records.
Amenities include carpeted private and semi-private suites, arts and crafts center, a beautiful in-house chapel, in-house rehabilitation and gym, beautifully landscaped grounds with walking paths, and multiple day rooms for a quiet afternoon show, a lively LSU ballgame or an evening of cards or dominoes.
Our rehabilitation programs, including physical, speech and occupational therapy, officer our residents the opportunity of returning to their greatest degree of independence, with many able to return to their own homes. At Forest Haven, we are committed to Improving Quality of Life.

Our residents were honored to be invited to spend the day with an amazing group of young ladies at Bible camp, where they became a living museum, sharing firsthand memories of life from 1928 through 1945. Through stories of the Great Depression, World War II, faith, family, hard work, and perseverance, history came alive in a way no textbook ever could.
The campers listened with open hearts, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine respect for the wisdom and experiences of our residents. It was a beautiful picture of generations coming together to learn from one another.
One of the sweetest moments of the day came when the campers presented handmade cards for every resident at Forest Haven. Our residents were able to bring these heartfelt gifts home to share with their friends throughout our community. These simple acts of kindness will brighten many days and remind our residents that they are loved, valued, and remembered.
Scripture reminds us, “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” — Proverbs 16:31
Thank you to the campers, leaders, and everyone who made this special day possible. Thank you for honoring our seniors, preserving their stories, and demonstrating Christ’s love through compassion, respect, and service. We pray these conversations and friendships will be treasured for years to come. ... See MoreSee Less

Forest Haven residents and staff worked together to make a handprint American flag to help decorate our facility for Independence Day!
250 years ago, our founders created this country hand-in-hand, and hand-in-hand, we'll continue to support our great nation for generations to come!
